Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using crowdindex.org (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you (“you”, “User”) and (“CrowdIndex”, “we”, “us”, “our”), the operator of crowdindex.org.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page for at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after a change indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. About the Service
CrowdIndex is an editorial review and information service for European peer-to-peer (P2P) investment platforms. Specifically, we publish:
- Independent reviews and rankings of P2P investment platforms
- Educational guides on P2P investing, regulation, and risk
- Comparative analysis between platforms
CrowdIndex is not:
- A P2P investment platform
- A regulated financial adviser, broker, or investment firm
- A custodian or holder of investor funds
- An insurance provider or compensation scheme
We provide editorial content for general information purposes. Your use of any P2P investment platform we review is governed by that platform’s own terms and conditions, and is your own decision.
3. Not investment advice
THE CONTENT ON CROWDINDEX IS NOT INVESTMENT ADVICE. Nothing on this Service constitutes a personal recommendation to make any investment, to invest in any specific platform, to follow any specific strategy, or to act on any specific timing. The content is general editorial commentary intended for informational purposes only.
P2P investment involves significant risks, including but not limited to:
- Total loss of invested capital
- Default of individual borrowers
- Default or insolvency of loan originators, platforms, or platform-affiliated entities
- Loss of liquidity (inability to withdraw funds)
- Currency risk for cross-border investments
- Regulatory and legal risk including the potential withdrawal of operating licences
- Operational risk including platform IT failure, fraud, or wind-down
Past performance, advertised yields, or historical default rates are not indicative of future results.
You are solely responsible for:
- Evaluating whether any P2P investment is suitable for your financial situation, investment objectives, risk tolerance, and tax circumstances
- Performing your own due diligence on any platform or investment opportunity
- Complying with applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
- Reporting and paying any taxes due on your investment income
If you are unsure whether any investment is suitable for you, please consult a licensed financial adviser, accountant, or other qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
4. Affiliate relationships
We earn commissions when readers sign up to platforms via links on the Service. Our editorial position is that affiliate relationships do not change our ranking — for the full statement of how affiliate relationships work and how we maintain editorial independence, see our Affiliate Disclosure page, which forms part of these Terms by reference.
